Christmas Day
Oh what a start of the day. Decided to make a homemade country recipe. Salvadoran Quesadillas, added the bisquick, eggs, parmesan cheese, milk, sugar and sour cream, last but needed the baking powder, actually added too much baking powder and it rose too much. Not very tasty after it rose too much, much of the flavor gone. Then decided to cook a roasted chicken for lunch, washed chicken, then cut up an orange squeezed the juice on it and stuffed the peels inside the cavity. then spread emerils seasoning on the chicken, cut up celery, onion, carrots. sauted them in pan until semi soft then put it on top of chicken, added 1/2 cup of water and in the oven it went for 1 1/2 hours, wow did that kitchen smell good while opening presents. chicken was done. pulled chicken out let it rest, then got those good juices from bottom of pan to do my gravy, just add flour until thickened and strain gravy in thin wired strainer in order to get any lumps left in gravy. Wow what a good tasting chicken dinner. Until next meal.......
